Hear Ye! Hear Ye!

Waterford Craft Fair

Pergamena recently returned from the Waterford Fair in Waterford Virginia. It is an artisan exhibition showcasing some of the most skilled Colonial to Civil War period craftspeople in the country, ranging from glassblowers, and silversmiths, to weavers and furnituremakers. Naturally, a tanner and parchment maker would fill out the field nicely! We were fortunate to attend as exhibitors. Ellen, Jesse, and Stephen were there demonstrating and selling Pergamena wares for 3 days in the rural and beautifully idyllic Virginia countryside. Not only was it a great show and opportunity to further introduce ourselves to the public, but the village directors had the foresight to put our booth on the site of the original village tannery, right in the village green! We brought some appropriate items to offer, especially our new parchment printed version of the Bill of Rights and the US Constitution, along with our initial Declaration Of Independence offerings. Check out WaterfordFoundation.org for more info and we hope to see you there next October!
