Here are just a few uses for our craft leather:
Custom Belts, Wallets, Purses, Watch Straps, Jewelry, Key Chains, Aprons, Cabinet Pulls, Baskets, Jar Cosies, Shelf Brackets, Phone and Tablet Cases, Lunch Bags, Portfolios, Folders, Tool Holders, Moccasins, Plant Holders, Roll Up Chess Boards....
Parchment has been used in the music field for centuries in anything from drum and banjo heads to sound hole roses and finger rests. The beautiful tones it produces are unrivaled and music enthusiasts wholeheartedly cherish its sound, and its strength, durability, and light weight make it the exceptional choice for traditionalists and modern music makers alike.
The hides we use for parchment come from animals that have died naturally or been raised for food. All of our hides come from North America, with the majority from local farms and hunters. Vegetable tanned leather is a traditional and environmentally sound process. It takes approximately 60 days to produce while Chrome tanning (found in most modern tanneries) takes a few days and uses carcinogenic and earth harming chemicals.
We are committed to traceability in our materials. So, we are working toward creating a process that allows our customers to know where our hides have come from and be confident that all of the processing was done sustainably from start to finish.
Whether you are shopping for raw materials or custom designs, you can count on us for responsible production methods, as well as unrivaled quality.
