This is a facsimile of the United States Bill of Rights. This document was printed on sheepskin parchment made in Montgomery, New York, in the historic Hudson River Valley. This parchment was produced by hand by Jesse Meyer, a living relative of John Adams. With our deep familial connection to the founding of this country, we proudly reproduce these historic documents. The Bill of Rights consists of the first ten amendments of the Constitution. Written after the ratification of the Constitution in response to the arguments made in the Anti-Federalist papers, these amendments lay out the fundamental rights and freedoms granted to American citizens. There are several original engrossed copies of the Bill of Rights still in existence. One of these is on permanent public display at the National Archives in Washington, D.C.
