Thickness
Leather is fantastic for a variety of projects, and different thicknesses -or weights- will help you to achieve different goals. Splitting your leather to reduce its thickness makes it easier to create detailed projects like wallets and book covers. Keeping it thicker gives it more shape and body, making it perfect for area rugs or belts.
