Characteristics: Uterine calf features a unique nap, or surface texture not found on older calf. Calf can have some of the most beautiful colors and textures, with warm tones, unique markings, and subtle textures offering both consistency and uniqueness to each skin.

Details: Uterine calf, otherwise known as "slunk", is considered one of the finest hides available from which to make parchment because it has not been exposed to any outside elements.
